Pointless Blathering

I've got no idea what I'm going to talk about, but it's the end of the month and I feel like typing. Reason enough, I suppose.
...and then whoosh, suddenly it's two hours later and I was inundated with stuff-to-do. I've been busy all week for a change, and it's going to be that way all of next week as well. I'd go into why, but goodness, no one deserves that kind of boredom. It suffices to say, socks will be tested.
My sweet hunny bunny is home sick today, battling some sort of flu-like thing. She managed to get herself a pretty good day of rest, it sounds like, and thank goodness, there's nothing important happening tonight. Of course, she's supposed to be camping for the weekend starting tomorrow evening, and it's supposed to rain pretty much all weekend unless the remainders of Ernesto have some unforeseen effects. What better way to recover from illness!
Assuming that she does go, that means a whole lot of one-on-one time for the baby and me. While I'm all yay about it, Laurana may not be so enthused. She's usually pretty good about not having mommy around for short stints, but a full 48 hours? That may prove a challenge. Assuming the weather's tolerable on Saturday, I may pack her up and go visit the campers during the day. I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea or a bad one: she might get enough mommy to last her the rest of the weekend of absence, or it might remind her that she's gone and make the rest of the weekend a screamfest. I guess I'll just have to play it by ear and hope for the best.
I found out something that, for some bizarre and inexplicable reason, disturbs me - last year, Debbie Gibson posed nude in Playboy (click only if you're 18 and have an iron constitution). I find the whole idea very, very wrong, and I couldn't tell you why. I opine not for her, nor do I cherish her inane music in any way. But still, it's just wrong. Many years ago, I did dream that I was at a concert of hers at Blossom Music Center, though. I really don't remember anything else about the dream, which is probably just as well.
