Xinpheld's Shopbox - CafePress Happiness!!

"I Drank What?"
2005-01-10,

Finally back from Product Training. I took my test and passed, so I guess that means I'm a full-fledged employee. The whole process wasn't as mind-numbing as I'd feared. Not a day at the carnival, mind you, but still. Plus, I got a few free lunches out of the deal. Last week was not filled with much else, at least during the work week, mainly due to being tired from concentrating all day on memorizing product lines.

Saturday was spent on our nephew's 3rd birthday and an evening of Socrates Caf. This is the second in what looks to be something of a series of gatherings, as I believe we're due for another sometime in late February. Luckily, it's not just an excuse for a bunch of showy people to get together and make themselves sound important and knowledgeable; it's turning out to be a group of people sharing their thoughts, concerns, theories, feelings and philosophies on a range of subjects. I'm so far thoroughly enjoying it, using my brain for once and getting to meet some new people to boot. Maybe someday I'll even manage to remember most of their names.

H and I spent Sunday dismantling the last of our Holiday dcor, including our now partially dried tree. We gave it a good thank you and sent it on its way to becoming mulch for a city flowerbed. That done, we have reclaimed our living room. Having a tree there makes our narrow room seem much more cluttered - if greener - and it seems huge once the tree goes on its way. We had a really good tree this year- sturdy, straight and green. It kinda makes me wish we had the space to keep a tree in the house all the time. Maybe a fichus is in order.
